I’ve finally completed one of my resolutions! This morning, I ran my first 5K race. I hadn’t run since gym class in high school, but I faithfully followed the Couch to 5K training plan all winter, and I managed to run today’s whole race without walking at all. I can definitely say that if I can run a 5K, anyone can. And my parents were here to see it! I actually still hate running and plan to change back to walking workouts…but it’s such good exercise that I’m considering whether to sign up for another one just to keep me running. (Alternately, Lisa suggested setting a hiking goal for the fall. That sounds a lot more fun. We’ll see!)

You’re amazing!!! Congratulations on running the 5K!!
Congratulations, Emily!! That is such a big accomplishment, especially with three small children. One of my life goals is running a 5K, but I have to work up the discipline to train for it. So I admire you for tackling it and finishing the race!
