The kids had never been to Mackinac, so we headed over early to Mackinaw City to tour Colonial Michilimackinac (the fort and fur trading village on the land side) before meeting the rest of the family on Mackinac Island for fudge, Fort Mackinac, and the Grand Hotel.

To celebrate Grandpa’s retirement, the whole Muller Fam hung out together at a lake house in Charlevoix this week. It was our first real Up North vacation with the kids, and everyone had a great time!

Grandma and Grandpa came down to spend Thanksgiving with us and helped us find the perfect tree! With covid restrictions closing down tractor rides, Daddy and Grandpa had to drag the tree all the way through the fields and back to the check-out area, but we managed it, even in masks.
We spent the weekend in Michigan because we’re just four hours away! On Saturday we introduced the kids to bowling, and Henry, Sterling, and Woodleigh joined us! Most of the cousins thought it was pretty fun.

I mostly instagrammed the end of our vacation, but we finished off our time in CoMo with more downstairs diner action, lots of snuggles, and trips to Shakespeares and Andy’s! We’ve been on a fruit and veggie detox diet since getting home to make up for all the yummy midwestern food we enjoyed!
The DIA with Jason and Jen, Nicole’s shower, hangin with the Fam, second cousin love at KK’s, family games, shooting off rockets…we had a busy week in Detroit!
All 15 of us, together in Columbia–for the first time since John and Kathryn’s wedding! We swam in the back yard, enjoyed a full ice cream sundae bar down in the basement, and got Uncle John to give Tommy a real marine haircut.

Last week Grandma and Grandpa finally got to meet Annie. We mostly hung out around the house due to the rain the first half of the week, but we also got in some quick trips to the Santa Barbara Sea Center and Zoo !
