Since we’re switching charter schools this summer, we have to give back all the books that Golden Valley bought for us. I’d hidden away the 4th grade Beast Academy guides so that the kids would have something to look forward to for next year, but I figured we might as well get a bit of use out of them before giving them back. Breakfast and lunch are now eaten while browsing our favorite “living” math books!
Looks ike they are inviting books…. Why are you changing Charters??
There is a new one opening up that is more flexible, more classical education-friendly, offers more vendors, and gives each of the kids $600 more per year to spend on classes/books/school supplies. Our lovely supervising teacher quit our charter to go work at the new one, and her replacement is literally a former parole officer with the personality to match! So we’re finishing off the year with our old charter but are making the switch to the new one for next school year.
