We started the day at the Reagan Library, of course. It was our fifth year in a row, so we knew exactly what to do. Got there early enough to park in the lot, went straight for the crafts, then wandered around the games, reenactors, and face painting.
Then in the afternoon, we had a neighborhood celebration down at Baxter Park. Watermelon eating contest, water balloon games, dessert potluck, and a perfect view of the Malibu fireworks over the ocean…
Janie didn’t participate in the watermelon eating contest, but she still wanted me to take a picture of her eating watermelon. Silly little Bug.
