This weekend we had another houseguest–my dear former student Amanda, now a thriving Hillsdale freshman, caught a ride with current students Alaina and Meghan from Hillsdale to Wheaton (college visits) so that she could spend fall break with us!
Much fun was had…we visited the Museum of Science and Industry (more on that tomorrow), watched THREE great kindred spirity movies (Mormon P&P, Emma Thompson S&S, Anne), talked literature/Hillsdale/homeschooling, made homemade bread, and took the kids to a fairly successful Starbucks study session!

Mormon P & P?! I don’t think I’ve seen that one…which is a deficiency that must be remedied immediately. It is delightful to find unexpected kindred spirits. 🙂
Well, I knew that Amanda was a kindred spirit when she took my classes, but it was fun to reassure ourselves once we met in person.=) The Mormon P&P is hard to find, Lisa–Natalie gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago but no one seems to be able to find it anymore–but I’d be happy to send it out to you!
