On our last night with the Fishers, the girls performed an original dance production for us. Evelyn and Elizabeth were the good and bad queens, and Susie and Marianne were the star-crossed BFF servants who weren’t allowed to be friends until the climax of the dance. And Janie was an assistant fairy. They were in heaven.
And Tommy snapped a picture of us girls playing Polite Society, the Jane Austen themed game that Derek just got me. Hardcore Janeites like Kim and myself could have played the challenge level, where your dinner guests all have to be sibling sets, or married at the beginning of their respective novels, or heirs to titles, but we just played the basic version so the girls could enjoy it, too. It was so fun. We’re already making plans for what we’ll do together when they’re back at Pepperdine next summer!
