All three girls played in the Mid-Prairie Homeschool Assistance Program Christmas Concert! Between the band, orchestras, and choirs, about 150 kids participated. It was Janie’s first-ever public performance, and she did great! Grandma Willett even got to drive up to see it!
Elizabeth is the top cellist in Intermediate Orchestra.Janie’s beginning viola class consists of her and FOUR boys, all of whom are sweet (and also all have new baby siblings, making our family of five kids the lower end of the family size spectrum!)Susie sits right next to Carl, the concertmaster of Intermediate Orchestra.Intermediate Orchestra played “Medieval Carol” on their own and then moved back to join the advanced orchestra for a few other pieces. (In the video, note that Susie had the wrong music out and realized at the last minute that she needed to switch it!)
Janie’s beginning viola class joined the whole combined orchestra for “Joy to the World,” which was an audience sing-along!
And afterwards, Janie had to grab a picture with Ceci, one of her new soccer/beginning orchestra buddies!
This makes me miss playing.
