We did it! We made it to Ted Drewes tonight! Now we can say that we’re really St Louisans!
It was a little bit of an adventure getting there. Derek had heard of one that was south, so we tried to go there first. We drove through this whole weird area with Persian and Thai restaurants on every corner. When we got there (after hours, it seemed), it was closed! Then I remembered that I’d seen the other one down by Leann and Seth’s house when I was exploring Watson Rd. So we had to figure out how to get from Grand Blvd to Watson Rd. It actually wasn’t so bad, but then suddenly we were very confused and about to turn around, but lo and behold, there was the Ted Drewes sign in the next block! We took the wrong Watson Rd back, so we ended up coming home by way of church (?), but it was all worth it! Derek got a Cardinal Sin concrete, and I don’t remember my special name, but it was fudge and raspberries and macademia nuts. Yum! We sat in our car and ate our concretes (or drank our sippy cup of water), and Tommy had a blast sitting up front with Mommy playing peekaboo with the rambunctious kids in the minivan next to us. None of us even noticed that he was up an hour past his bedtime….
All in all, it was a great trip, and we can’t wait to go back!
