The Schaaks gave us their Spikes tickets last night, so Tommy and Elizabeth got to see Ike the Spike one more time before moving. I wasn’t sure how Susanna would do, considering that it was pretty much her bedtime when we got there, but she stayed awake the whole time and was relatively happy. Super loud noises bothered her, but she was basically content.
Tommy and Elizabeth had an absolute blast. It was kids eat free night, so they got to have hot dogs and chips, neither of which they ever get at home. What a treat!
They kept a sharp lookout for Ike the Spike and the Nookie Monster, and Elizabeth danced and clapped at every opportunity. This was Tommy’s tenth baseball game, so he’s getting to be quite a pro at it.
We made it through the 7th inning this time. Go Spikes! As Elizabeth said as we left the stadium, “Bye-bye guys! I see ya later!”
