When Elizabeth heard early this week that she’d be going to the Nutcracker again with Daddy, she started beaming and never stopped. As soon as she woke up today, she wanted to put on her pretty dress and have Daddy wear the clothes she had picked out for him the night before. We had to distract her quite a bit before I consented to curl her hair and tie her sash. This year, Caroline is the doll of choice to accompany them to the performance. She (Caroline) has been coming to ballet class to see what it’s like, and she (Caroline) took a good nap this morning so that she could stay awake the whole time. Elizabeth even wore pink bike shorts under her dress so they could match.
