Today Charis Classical Academy was pleased to welcome Miss Elizabeth Muller into our grammar stage program. Miss Muller’s admittance doubled our elementary enrollment, and she had a splendid first day of kindergarten, studying Bible, history, writing, phonics, math, Latin, and physical science. Our most seasoned scholar, Master Tommy Muller, shared most of the above courses with his sister, adding in his own math and spelling. The preschool department was delighted at the potty success of Miss Susie Q, who finally finished the potty sticker chart she started mid-summer and won those legos she’s been wanting for months. Classes ran smoothly due to a long morning nap by Miss Jane-Bug. Our headmistress rose before dawn to make the incoming students blueberry muffins for breakfast, to the delight of both our grammar stage students and our play-based preschool contingent. Even with a long recess mid-morning for soccer drills, the students completed their main work before lunchtime and plan to spend the afternoon on a fun project.
