We’re learning about the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by Pharaoh Menes, and today the kids colored reliefs based on stories of his life. And of course they insisted on taking pictures to put on the blog. It’s quite a meta life they live–should I be concerned?

We read about King Sargon today, and the big kids are coloring pictures and maps. Susie is entertaining herself with Lumi-doh (Thank you, Aunt Terri!) And this is how Janie homeschools…don’t worry, I pulled her off right after taking the picture!

Yesterday was a little rougher than Monday. I didn’t get up as early, and the kids were a bit crabby. Susie in particular is just testing limits nonstop, all day long. But we still survived!

Today Charis Classical Academy was pleased to welcome Miss Elizabeth Muller into our grammar stage program. I’ve been too busy lesson planning to take any pictures this week, but here are some pictures from our back-to-back visits to the Magic House in St Louis last week! It’s definitely our favorite children’s museum. What can I say…Missouri is just full of great people and places!
Since Derek and Tommy went to a KC Royals game last night, we girls decided to have our own date at Andy’s. The custard was just as good as I remembered…
