Since it’s in the 80s and our AC isn’t working, we thought it would be a splendid plan to take the kids to the beach for the morning. After all, it’s free (well, not anymore now that there are meters at all public parking lots, apparently…), and Tommy loved it last year! Well, I’m glad we […]

Chicago Museums: Museum of Science and Industry
Posted in Elizabeth, Family, Homeschooling, Tommy on May 21st, 2010
Today we visited The Museum of Science and Industry. As a homeschooling mom, I would give it 5/5 stars (our favorite thing to do in Chicago)! We go several times a year, and we often take guests there. Key Age Range: PreK to Adult, with exhibits that can be enjoyed on a variety of levels. Time: […]
We just dropped the guys off at the L to go see Tommy’s first Cubs game! He actually has been to Wrigley in utero, but I don’t think he remembers much of it.=) It’s supposed to be a balmy 52, so the guys layered up in preparation. Here’s hoping they have fun!
so Tommy has been accident-free, including a 7 hour car ride yesterday and overnight last night, except for one time this morning. Something about Grandpa and Grandma Willett’s house seemed to help him connect his mind to the potty. But I’m not going to say much more about it so I don’t jinx myself…
This week we got to take Tommy out to fly kites that Grandpa picked up in his recent trip to China. Tommy loved it!

1000 miles

We’ve put 1000 miles on the car in the last 10 days, and we’re due for another 1000 in the next week or so. We just got back from Ohio, where we said goodbye to Great-Grandpa Tony, and we’re going to try to get the kids back into routine this week before heading to Missouri […]
A long day

Em drove down to meet her family and pick up Tommy from his trip to Missouri over the weekend. Unfortunately, Tommy became car sick early in the trip. Additionally, Emily is experiencing a minor (largely cosmetic, but annoying) car issue on the drive. But on the plus side, we have a house for next year! […]
So I was planning on dazzling my devoted readers with amazing pictures of the adorable house we found in State College this weekend…except that we didn’t find it. (3 bedroom single family homes available in June are scarce in a town of 30,000 where everything goes with the academic calendar…and thanks to the first time […]
