Grandma is here, and our fridge is stocked, our laundry is caught up, our house is clean, and the kids are happy. Phew!

The Rest of the Time in Columbia

Sunday morning photo shoot… Tea party with Grandma… Shakespeares! (South side) We found out that Mondays were kids eat free days, so each of the kids got their own pizza as well as dough to play with while we waited. And family devotions with Grandpa.
On our first time through MO, Grandma mentioned there was a race in Fulton the weekend we came back. So Tommy went running with us several times in Detroit, and he completed his first one-mile race in under ten minutes! He ran the whole thing without stopping! Then we cheered on Grandma in the 5K. Since Derek was gone for Father’s Day, we had a little photo shoot mid-way through Tommy’s buzz cut to fool Daddy into thinking his son had a mohawk! And then we had to take a group photo. The mohawk put everyone in a silly mood!
The kids had fun helping harvest (and eat) raspberries. And Grandpa and Grandma even figured out a camping night, complete with sleeping in a tent (in the back porch) and making s’mores (in the grill)…

With a little help from Elizabeth and Susie, Andy and Bailey are married! And I guess I’ll get to the reception pictures another day.
One of the best parts of this visit to Michigan was meeting Henry! Elizabeth and I got to give him the quilt we made him. We {heart} second cousins! (Yeah, Kaitlyn and Kelly are nice, too, but not as fascinating as Henry…)
(He didn’t win, but he’s studying Risk: Lord of the Rings edition for next time…)
