Pictures of This Week!
Posted in Elizabeth, Janie, Susanna, Tommy on Mar 31st, 2015
What do you know, the computer decided to let me download pictures today. Tommy’s off at baseball camp, so the girls and I painted toenails and are making lemon curd (my helpers are stirring while I blog).
Tommy and Janie had their check-up with Dr. Vallance this morning, and everything looked good! Nobody cried during blood pokes or Janie’s shot. It went as well as an hour in a tiny room with four children can go. The crazy thing is that Janie’s weight is a little under Susanna at the same age, […]
Long Beach Aquarium with the Andersons

Ariana and I are doing a better job of monthly field trips this spring, and today we met up at the Long Beach Aquarium. It was Janie’s first time, and she LOVED it!
Our landlord decided that several of our trees needed to be trimmed. We’ve called a long recess, and the kids are glued to the windows. I think they all have a new career goal as of this morning!

Can you guess what we’re studying in history this week?
Matching Brown Pants
Posted in Elizabeth, Janie, Susanna, Tommy on Feb 24th, 2015
It’s so rare that all three girls wear pants on the same day, and today they happened to all choose brown. They insisted on having a photo shoot to commemorate it… And got silly. Janie can roll her tongue! Meanwhile, Tommy just sat above the fray. And news flash: after 23 months, with this post, […]
These two. They are so different in temperament and talents and birth order, but somehow an introspective firstborn-of-four bookworm and a happy-go-lucky, super-athletic youngest-of-six make such a great pair. We didn’t do a party for Tommy this year, but he asked if he could just have Jonah over for lunch. They decorated birthday cakes, played […]
Messy School Days
Posted in Elizabeth, Homeschooling, Susanna, Tommy on Feb 18th, 2015
I’ve been meaning to put up some pictures of the mess that a normal school day produces in this house. These are from last week, but they’re pretty representative of every day around here… Between school bins, papers, crayons, colored pencils, math manipulatives, cars, ballet slippers, water bottles, and the like, the table is hard […]
