So today was horrible. Horrible. We had to leave at 5 am to drive to Winchester, VA for me to go to court for my accident back in December. Because the prosecutor couldn’t be troubled to return Derek’s calls, I had to spend over 7 hours in the car today to say “yes” and “no” […]

Tommy’s Artwork
Posted in Homeschooling, Tommy on May 10th, 2011
Tommy has become a boy on a mission–to color at least twenty pictures a day. We should take out stock in construction paper! This is a picture of Christopher Robin, inspired by bedtime reading with Daddy: Note the phonetic spelling of Winnie-the-Pooh (and that “the” and “luh” sound and feel very similar to Tommy). Note […]
Well, with the umbilical cord completely off and the 8 lb mark having been passed, Susanna was ready to start into the wonderful world of cloth diapers this weekend! (A Fanny Crosby in the making?) Tommy never did this at her age, so it’s really fun for us to watch.
Homemade Ravioli

Derek’s been itching to make homemade ravioli like Grandma and Grandpa Tata used to, and Dad M brought down their old ravioli tray so they could try it together! On Saturday, they spent the whole afternoon making us a delicious dinner…with enough leftovers for two more full meals (Nona had given us the recipe they […]
Susanna thoughtfully predicted that Tommy and Elizabeth might have a bit of trouble adjusting to sharing Mommy and Daddy with another sibling. So she gave them puppy sleeping bags when they came to meet her in the hospital. Chester and Cherry were a big hit, and they’ll get a lot of use this summer as […]
After a practice run at the indoor park egg hunt last week, the kids were experts on hunting for Easter eggs!
