This month the Museum of Science and Industry is free on weekdays…so we met Dana and Reagan down there this morning for an educational play date. The kids loved the tractors, cable car, and trains–and each other! driving a tractor… milking a cow… learning how to enrich uranium… watching the model train… Tommy shows off his […]

Mommy: Isn’t Daddy smart? Tommy: Yes! Mommy: Isn’t Daddy a hard worker? Tommy: Yes! Mommy: Isn’t Daddy handsome? Tommy: Yes. Does Daddy have a necktie AND a bowtie? Well, this whole taking-a-break-from-potty-training thing has been working great! This morning Tommy told us he wanted to use the potty, so he took off his pj’s and pull-up and used the potty. Then he dumped it, rinsed it, washed his hands and brushed his teeth, put on a new pull-up, picked out new pants and […]

This week is another hard-core go at potty training. So far, little success. Even with a 20-minute potty break timer, Tommy managed to poop in his training pants this morning (after two times yesterday and once on Sunday). I’m making him clean it up because it is a long and disgusting process, and it really […]

Our second Christmas was celebrated on Christmas Day–at Grandpa and Grandma Muller’s house! We crammed many family gatherings together into five days, and the kids got to see most of their Muller side relations. Highlights included Tommy learning how to say “Go ahead–make my day!” and Tommy deciding that Uncle Matthew is his best friend […]

The kids woke up for their first Christmas in matching PJs–a fun idea I got from Janet. I’m going to try to make this a tradition at our house, too, since the kids loved being “twins”! We’re having a fun time hosting all the Willetts here, and we’ll be heading to Detroit on Wednesday for […]
