The kids had fun helping harvest (and eat) raspberries. And Grandpa and Grandma even figured out a camping night, complete with sleeping in a tent (in the back porch) and making s’mores (in the grill)…
I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

Last summer, when we realized we’d be in MO three times in a 12-month period, we decided to spring for a Magic House membership. I stupidly got the one that had 10 guest passes, thinking we’d be bringing Grandma and Grandpa along with us most times. Nope, they didn’t make it once. I used up one of our guest passes when Leann came with me over Christmas, but that was it. Oh well. We visited once or twice each of our times through St Louis, so I guess we came out about even. It is by far the best children’s museum we’ve been to, and we’ve visited children’s museums all over the country! The kids were disappointed that I didn’t take more pictures of them this time around (particularly with the stuffed pandas in the China exhibit), but keeping track of four children by myself in a museum crammed with about 500 other parents escaping the rain with their kids was challenging enough for me!

After a week, my computer has suddenly decided to read my card reader again. So here is a photo dump of the rest of our time in Detroit! The guys found their high school letter jackets hidden in some closet. Wow, they are sooooo coooool.

Jen plays the infatuated girlfriend who purposefully underdresses for the weather so that she can borrow her boyfriend’s letter jacket…
We went down to Ann Arbor for one more trip to the Hands-On Museum and a visit to Hunter House, of course!

Chicken waffle sliders…sigh. It’s probably good for my waistline that we live thousands of miles away.
And the kids loved playing in the lush, green grass!
No trip to Royal Oak is complete without a visit to Rays!

With a little help from Elizabeth and Susie, Andy and Bailey are married!

The girls are such pros at this now that they don’t even need to rehearse (which is good, because Susie totally melted down soon after walking up the aisle…)

Even though this was her fourth time, Elizabeth still got excited when Bailey started down the aisle.

Janie really wanted to be part of the wedding party, but judicious use of cookies kept her close to me most of the ceremony. She did waddle up to join the flower girls and KK once, and when I held up the cookies, all three came over for a mid-sermon snack.

Janie and I had coordinating dresses, though Grandma had never seen my dress when she bought Janie’s!
And I guess I’ll get to the reception pictures another day.

Good news: the raisin stuffed down the card reader did no lasting damage. Anyway…the big girls and I took Grandma out for pedicures for her birthday! We went to a cute little place called Rouge, and while Susie quickly got bored after hers was done, we all had a fun time doing girlie stuff together for a couple hours.
