CBS Christmas Program

Since we’re currently without a church home, our only Christmas program this year was the one the kids did at CBS.

Janie had a meltdown in the nursery, so I had to hold her during the program and couldn’t inch around to get good pictures.  Good thing everyone else in the world has smart phones that can email pictures to me immediately.  Elizabeth (in red near the back left) sang pretty well, Susie (just to the right of the microphone, with green under a sweater) kept turning around to look at her sister a couple rows behind her, and Tommy (bottom left) read Isaiah 9:6-7!

Uh-oh…

So Janie has been vomiting since waking up covered in vomit this morning.  Is it even worth me bleach cleaning the house while she’s still throwing up?

Monterey

The kids and I just got back from a long weekend in Monterey, visiting the DeBords.  We missed their wedding because we were flying to Switzerland that week, so I had never met Tristan!  It was a pretty low-key visit, mostly hanging out, playing at some local playgrounds, and watching football.  The big kids and I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium with guest passes, and Janie stayed back to nap and initiate Regina into the wonderful world of cloth diapering before their baby comes.

You know, we’re just not big animal people.  It was neat to see everything, but we were done in a couple of hours.  Tommy liked the jellyfish.  The girls’ favorite part of the aquarium was the hot chocolate at the end…

I just didn’t pull my camera out much, but we did get a quick shot after church to prove we were actually together!

Yay for good friends!

Tommy and Jonah

This morning, Tommy got to go all by himself to see “A Christmas Carol” with Jonah.  He’s getting so big!

Afterwards, the girls and I met up with everybody at CPK for lunch.  5 moms and 21 kids…it’s gotta be a homeschool group!

Overwhelmed

When multiple older siblings are feeding you, mealtime can be kinda overwhelming…

The kids were helpful, as always.

And Susie screamed all the way home and for the next 45 minutes at home.  Good times.
