Saturday was the big day: Tommy’s first trip to a major league ball park. We had taken him to a South Bend Silverhawks game last spring, but this was the real thing. With Dave in town for the game, we got seats right behind home plate (and up about eight flights of stairs–next time we go to a game with a toddler, maybe we won’t do nosebleed sections???).
Our seats did provide a great view of downtown St Louis and the Arch. I’m glad Tommy’s getting his Missouri heritage in early. Tommy did a great job at the game…he stayed interested for the first 6 and a half innings, with only minor distractions with his free baseball cards and the baby two seats over, but when naptime came, he was out cold. Next on our agenda: a Tigers game at Comerica Park this summer!
