I wasn’t the only Muller to be overjoyed by Laura’s arrival…Tommy acted like she was an old friend! Within minutes, they were thick as thieves, laughing at each other like old cronies.
When we weren’t playing with Tommy, having deep talks, praying and working on Psalm 119 together, doing housework together, we just shared our lives…
I should have gotten a picture of us reading our matching copies of Elisabeth Elliot’s On Asking God Why (Thanks Laura!), but instead, I just took pictures of some of the yummy food we ate. I was particularly proud of this fruit salad because I got to use my Pampered Chef Core and More melon baller for the first time and present it in my Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl!
Oh, and besides taking Tommy to the playground in 110% humidity and walking up and down the street with him whenever it tickled his fancy, Laura won his heart by reading him his favorite books about 8 times apiece…add to that a bit of German gaming (Derek and I love being able to play our 3+ player games with other “serious gamers”!), our traditional Laura-introduces-Em-to-cool-Christian-music-that-she-had-never-heard-of-before routine (I’m now very interested in Shane and Shane…more on that later, perhaps), and a fun grown-up brunch at Nadoz, and you have a very happy little family who wishes the visit could have just gone on and on…please come back soon, Auntie Laura!
I have some Shane and Shane CDs if you need some! Well, actually I think I just have one or two but still, I could pass them on your way!
Cool! Definitely–I was very intrigued by this song “Burn Us Up” and its implications…
How fun. Glad you’ve had some fun friends visit. Looks like you’ve had a great summer so far. We miss you guys!
