Well, we made it back home, despite the crazy weather that started minutes before we left Detroit!
Our week with Derek’s fam was lots of fun…especially because Tommy really bonded with Uncle Matthew and Uncle Jason!

Uncle Jason taught Tommy how to play games on a Blackberry. Um, thanks, Jason?

I let Derek go to Brooks Brothers with Matthew on Black Friday, and he came back with matching bow ties (for Daddy and Tommy, not Uncle Matthew…to be honest, Matthew came back with better-looking ties, but he doesn’t need to match anyone right now). Derek has been wanting a bow tie for years (I have no clue why), and I told him he could only get one if he got Tommy a matching one and they wore them together. Usually he resists matching, but I guess the sales were too good to pass up. Now as soon as Derek learns how to tie a bow tie, I’m going to get their picture taken in their matching outfits! I admit it, I’m that dorky. My daughters and I will have matching Easter/Christmas skirts someday, too.
I think Tommy looks so, SO adorable in his new outfit! And I cannot mock the matching…I used to make matching Christmas dresses for my American Girl dolls and me! AH! 🙂
