Today Tommy and I braved the subzero windchill and headed downtown to meet up with my South Bend friends Rachelle and Leslie and their mom and Tommy’s friend Aidan. Tommy and Aidan hadn’t seen each other since Leslie visited us in St Louis last fall, when Aidan was about to crawl and Tommy was getting up on his hands and knees. I didn’t know if they’d recognize each other, even though Tommy has a picture of Aidan on his nightstand and I was practicing with him beforehand. As soon as they saw each other in Macy’s, Aidan got really excited and started saying, “Tom! Tooooooom!” Tommy played shy for a couple minutes but soon was jabbering away and reaching over to Aidan’s stroller to give him hugs. It was really cute. Believe it or not, I did not capture a single good picture of both boys…which probably is to be expected from two 21 month olds. Here’s the best I could do–I think Tommy is showing off his new teeth to Aidan:

I like the picture of Aidan peering in Tommy’s mouth! I did get several cute pictures of the boys together. I caught one of them shaking hands that is adorable! I took one when they first saw each other at Macy’s. Tommy looks shy and Aidan looks SO excited to see him! I will send them over when I get the chance. It was so nice to see you. I hope we can visit again very soon!
Emily- Getting to see you and Tommy was so great!!!!!!!!!! I’m so glad we got to do it! Aidan and Tommy were so cute together- I hope we can all get together soon 🙂
