Meet Baby Muller

We had the ultrasound today–everything went well!  One thing we learned was that our duedate is actually May 4, not the 5 like the doctor had told us.  So Emily S and I are actually due the same day!

Everything looked really good.  The baby measured in the 40th percentile, which is totally fine, and we got lots and lots of views of his or her beating heart (130 bpm, for those who think they can determine the sex of the baby that way–though Tommy was opposite of what that method predicts).  Baby M weighs about 10 ounces right now and is very active when Mommy has had chai.  (Tommy was napping during his ultrasound, so I thought I’d have a little caffeine to liven things up a bit this time.  Whoa!  Baby was hiccupping and partying down there the whole time!)  The ultrasound tech took over 60 pictures in the half hour or so that we were in there.  Because the doctors in my practice are high-risk specialists, she checked everything that she could–brain stem, hemispheres (which I had NOT seen with Tommy–so cool!), heart, kidneys, limbs, nose and lips (for cleft palate), etc.  She knew the sex of the baby, but it didn’t go on the report, so our moms can’t call up Dr. Moses and try to cajole it out of him–he doesn’t even know!  Here are a few highlights.

My first pic of our kiddos together!  Tommy wasn’t very cooperative about holding the picture up while he was sitting–I guess this is good foreshadowing of how it will be for the next 20 years whenever I want to get a family picture!

Baby crosses his or her ankles just like Tommy did–you can see one leg and foot with the sole of the other foot coming over to cross at the ankle!

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for watching over our little one’s development thusfar!
