This morning Tommy’s friends Ashling and Miriam came over for a real birthday party! We played, finger painted (of course I didn’t think about taking pictures until all the kids and moms were covered in paint), and ate grapes and car cakes off of the racetrack I made last year. Tommy totally knows what to do when he gets presents now–they were opened within 2 minutes of our guests arriving! And since this is his third cake in a month, he’s a huge fan and knows how to ask for “more tar tate” (he still can’t say his k sound). He loved the singing (though he pretended to be shy and hid his face) and the two candles–when you ask how old he is, he loudly proclaims, “TWOOOOOO!” It was way more low-key than last year’s huge party, but we still had a pretty great morning!
