Now that we have a complete twin bed set (and cool robot sheets), Tommy has been really interested in the big boy bed. We thought we’d wait to transfer him until he started climbing out of the crib (which he hasn’t), but now I’m starting to wonder if he’s ready for the real thing now. Would it be better to go through the change now, before the baby comes? (The baby will be in the mini-crib for the first 4 months, so there’s no rush for crib space…) Readers whose kids have gone to big kid beds, do you have any thoughts on whether it’s easier before or after? Any insights would be appreciated!
Big Boy Bed?

Well, our babies have never done the crib thing, so I’m not totally sure about the transition. But Laura sleeps in a big girl bed and loves it! She was used to the mattress, though, before we put it up on the bed. I’d put guard rails up on the sides for the first few weeks :)!
