So Hillsdalians will be the only ones who find this funny…
This morning I got a call from the Hillsdale area code…I answered, and the voice on the other end asked if it was Emily and if I was still in bed. Nope…what mother of a toddler hasn’t been up for hours at 9 am? =) Anyway, it was Dr. Reist, calling to thank Derek for his Collegian article on the proposed addition of a theology course to the Core. Yep, I had a nice little morning chat with Reist, who ended the conversation by promising me that next time he’s in Chicago, he’ll give me a call and we’ll go out for a drink while Derek stays home with the kids. Yep.
I think the double “Yep” in this post is what really makes it endearing.
