"Bapa Bama Mummer House"

We’re at Grandpa and Grandma Muller’s house, in “Mish-din”, as Tommy tells us.  The drive with the kids went okay on Wednesday.  Elizabeth was still sleeping a ton from her immunizations on Tuesday, and Tommy did as well as could be expected.  He read a book with Grandma Willett over the phone (thank you to Hannah for the wonderful idea of reading books together over the phone–my mom got a bunch from the library and has been reading to him frequently!), listened to his favorite “Jesus Loves You, Tommy!” CD on repeat for a couple hours (thank goodness for headphones!), and sang “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly” and other great car trip songs with us for the last half hour.  Within minutes of getting here, he’d pulled out all of Daddy and Uncle Matthew and Uncle Jason’s matchbox cars and was happily parking them in straight lines (can we say oldest child?) on Grandma’s rug.  Good times.

And Elizabeth and Nona loved each other at first sight!  (She actually was awake for most of the day Thursday…)

Emily, it’s so amazing how alert she is. I guess it’s been longer than I realized since she was born. Beautiful kiddoes!!

She is looking so grown up already Emily! She is so beautiful! I really like the idea of reading books over the phone! We’ll have to try that when we head to Sesame Place this summer. Have fun visiting!

Oh, my goodness, I have a picture of Carver doing that exact same thing with cars, probably at about that age! How funny that boys flock to the same activities!
