I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

If you dislike the taste of Brussel sprouts,
your brother and his wife will gladly take
and eat those lusty orbs which your taste doubts–
and do our duty, for a sibling’s sake.
To bask in buttered glory, wreathed in steam,
with crispy crunch and wispy vap’rous glow,
their hearty leaves, so sweet, the rounded green,
God’s heav’nly nose, transfixed by this below.
O Mouth, diluvian saliva flow!
O Tongue, enthralled and ravished bliss awaits!
O Brussell Sprout, thy cabbageness extoll,
A vegetable with blessed and joyous fate!
Or shall this broken man, crestfallen, hear the news
that such entreaty is to be refused?
