The kids and I just got back from a quick trip to DC for a Mauck girls reunion! Clare and Natalie flew out to stay with Regina and Margee this week, so we decided to tag along for a couple days.
Wednesday night, Clare surprised us with an envelope full of predictions that we wrote the last day of college, to be opened five (or six) years later. Good laughs. We wrote more to open in 2015.
Then Margee took Thursday off work to do museums downtown with us…
…and she and Regina made a great dinner for us that night. Newlywed Lisa and newly-engaged Maire came, too!
Tommy stayed up with everybody until 10:30 pm, which may be why he totally melted down and had the worst tantrum in history during the drive home today. Sigh.
So I am pretty tired tonight, but it was totally worth it to see everybody. I felt like I was back in the Mauck lobby on a night early in the semester, talking until all hours about everything and nothing! (Of course, back then, I didn’t have kids to put to bed…and I definitely could sleep in past 6 am!) I wish the midwest girls had been able to make it out, but we’ll just have to have a super-reunion at the next Mauck girl wedding…
So fun! I enjoyed seeing all your faces, guys!!!

I think she was asleep whenever the camera was out! =)
