Thanks to Woot, via Mariel, we purchased an iRobot Roomba vacuum at a serious discount. This vacuum cleaner works extremely well. It’s wonderful living in the year 2010 and letting a robot do some house work.
Importantly, Tommy is a fan of all things robotic. He’s always eager to let the robot go “eat the dirt” around the house. He knows how to start it, where the robot’s “dock” is, and where he “goes to charge.” He frequently alerts us, “The robot is all done charging!”
Tommy’s affection for robots also helped during potty training. For a period of time, he was scared of automatically-flushing toilets in public restrooms, a real downer trying to potty train a child on a long car trip. But one day, I told him, “There’s a robot that watches you and flushes the potty while you’re all done.” That made him very, very happy. He’s never been scared since. And ever since then, he asks, in every public restroom, “Is there a robot watching?” Robots running the water faucets, soap dispensers, and hand driers are just a bonus.

OH MY GOSH. I need a robot to clean my house! I need a robot to clean my bathrooms and manage my clutter. This is amazing. I am so glad you have it!!
I am so glad you like it! I still love ours (since I HATE HATE HATE sweeping). I am hoping to get the mopping robot (Scooba) someday too.
So, have you got him hooked on “Lost in Space” yet?
There’s one that mops, too?!
