Yesterday was Susannah and Ellie’s official first day of school, so even though we’d been doing a bit here and there, we decided it would be our official first day, too. After doing school in the morning, we celebrated with a picnic lunch at Spring Creek Park! (I was the delinquent mom and didn’t bring what I was supposed to, but Jenny made really cute cupcakes with all the kids’ initials for their first day. I wish I were that cool!) On Friday, all three of the big kids had made posters for their official first day pictures (again, this was Jenny’s idea and execution), and here they are! This is definitely a tradition I want to keep up over the years.
