This week I decided we needed to do something Christmasy to distract from last week’s events. So Tommy and I made homemade cut-out cookies Sunday (using Emily S’s classic Kingdom Group recipe), then we had our neighbors over to decorate Christmas cookies with us on Monday. The boys both frosted just two or three before losing interest and getting down to play, but oh well…
Can we say sugar high?
Elizabeth couldn’t have the cookies because of the egg, but I put some frosting on a couple saltine crackers and let her decorate those.
And then the kids had a tea party picnic while Alicia and I finished the rest by ourselves!
