Sometimes I complain too much about the kids’ shenanigans without praising them when they’re being good. Yesterday we spent a fun morning at the park and returned just in time for lunch. While I was feeding Susanna and getting everything together, Tommy asked if we could get down his Curious George puzzle to do with Lizzie. I was so proud of him for asking to share with his sister!
I’ll be honest, though–right after I snapped this proof that my children do play together nicely, I walked into the kitchen to make sandwiches and heard, “Elizabeth Laura Muller! WHAT are you doing?” Sometimes peace is short-lived…

The peaceful moments between our children are so often overshadowed by the hard times. Your post is a good reminder to cherish the peaceful times.
I agree with what Bethany said! A great reminder. And I have been CONSTANTLY reminding myself that “peace is not a place, but a Person.” I think Ann Voskamp said that. Not a place, not even a moment between kids and chaos, but Jesus. I need pep talks all the time.
