This is what things have been like all week. I get that three kids running around will trash any house. For some reason, the couch cushions will NOT stay on the couch, no matter what I do. But having Derek gone ’til late two nights and feeling so utterly exhausted myself this week means that I haven’t gotten to bring things to order in the evenings like I usually try to. And with the kids crying for Daddy or putting themselves to bed sick, I haven’t had my usual tidying help. I can handle mess in the middle of the day, but it’s so stressful to wake up to chaos, repeatedly. Watch out, carpet. As soon as this cold subsides, you and I are going to see more of each other.

our chaos is worse than yours if that’s a picture of yours… i’ll send you a photo to encourage you. you can say to yourself, “at least it’s better than the mcgees!”
i agree. waking up to a mess starts the day off terribly.
No, this is as cleaned up as it’s been all week. It gets much worse as the day progresses. It’s tripping over the blocks box right in the middle of the floor two nights in a row and the million matchbox cars in the hallway that are really getting on my nerves.
Oh, Emily…I am right there with you. My house has been in shambles the past few weeks…between the constant mess of puzzle pieces, blocks, and trains, I have laundry coming out of my ears too!!! I guess I had better get off the computer and start cleaning up while the boys are resting…
