After 13 weeks, we can let out the secret! There aren’t just five of us anymore!
Susie’s getting some practice in on being a big sister–she’s glad she finally has someone smaller to sit on her lap!
The girls and I saw a healthy baby on the ultrasound today (Tommy, to his chagrin, missed the whole thing while using the bathroom). Elizabeth cooed over the cute little head and hands; Susie waved and yelled, “Baby!” Tommy cried over not getting to meet the baby, but he immediately cheered up when offered a chocolate chip cookie. It’s making the intense nausea worth it to see how well Baby is growing!
I’m currently taking suggestions for witty comebacks to the inevitable “Are all FOUR of these kids YOURS?” I’ve already considered (and discarded) “Yes, we’re trying to catch up with Brangelina,” “Four? Last time I checked, there were just two,” and “No, we kidnapped the girls and are on the run from the police.” Out here, three kids is unusual but still considered normal. But four?!… Well, we’re excited to join the “big family” ranks come spring!

How about “We’re working on getting our own reality TV show….you know, like the Duggars.”
“Well, our parents never really learned to share, so we had to have one for each of them to play with.”
Wonderful news! So happy for you guys!
Yay!! Congratulations! Hope you’re feeling ok aside from the nausea!
