Columbia Notebook, Day Two

Yesterday afternoon Katie got to come over and help my mom and I shop for fabric for the mother-of-the-groom dress, then I headed over to Shepherdsfield for a girls’ night with some of my girlfriends there.  Katie and I took our traditional picture (we have Em-and-Katie shots going back 15 years…), and I got a foot massage and all the scoop on Cate’s new beau.  Yay for falling in love in your 30’s!

This morning I decided Tommy was going to get a haircut, no matter what.  He refused to let the scissors near him, but he liked that the clippers went “vroom vroom” like a car, so we just put a #6 attachment on the razor and clipped him up like Uncle John.  I think he looks MUCH better and much more like a little boy!

I also dragged Peter and Cammy to JC Penney’s to start their registry!  An hour and a half was enough to do us all in, even though they’d brought snacks to sustain them.  They still have to find dishes and pans, but I think we made some headway…

Tonight we’re going to try to get started on Tommy’s spaceship quilt.  Wish us luck!

Little boy hair cuts are the best! I got Aidan’s with clippers a few weeks ago, and its already grown back! Tommy does look very grown up and precious with his new look. =)
