We didn’t plan it, but we were pretty well color coordinated for church this morning. Of note: Tommy is now wearing Men’s clothes.

Annie met Dr. Gardner in the fall, and last week, the middles had their well-child checks. As usual, they’re all petite, but their growth is proportional, so we’re not worrying about anyone’s growth anymore, even Annie’s. (And the next day, Susie had her surgery recheck with Dr. Hansen, and her ear has healed wonderfully. We’re […]
Well, we don’t really have a church home yet, but we went to in-person services for Good Friday and Easter, so things are looking up, right? Maybe by next year we won’t be wearing masks and social distancing? I thought we’d only get a picture of the kids, but our neighbor happened to be walking […]
Happy Birthday, Janie!
Posted in Janie on Mar 20th, 2021
Eight is great! Janie requested a black forest cake and spent most of her day reading her new birthday books. She’s become quite a little math whiz and loves sweet books and mysteries, cursive, and observing the flowers starting to bloom in our yard.

The little girls are very intrigued by their big sisters’ new instruments. Tonight Elizabeth showed Janie the basics of cello. Lots of giggling ensued.
We’ve had a LOT of snow this winter–way more than the kids have seen during our brief midwest forays over the past nine years! But until now, it’s not been the best packing snow. When Tommy went out to snowblow the driveway this afternoon, he announced that it was finally sticky snow, so the girls […]
Thanksgiving with Grandma and Grandpa Muller
Posted in Annie, Elizabeth, Family, Iowa, Janie, Susanna, Tommy on Nov 28th, 2020
Grandma and Grandpa came down to spend Thanksgiving with us and helped us find the perfect tree! With covid restrictions closing down tractor rides, Daddy and Grandpa had to drag the tree all the way through the fields and back to the check-out area, but we managed it, even in masks.
When I saw that we were getting one more day in the upper 60s last week, I texted Jill and had Abe and Amy join us for one more warm weather hike! Pushing a toddler in a stroller up and down semi-cleared hiking trails is actually not too bad when you have two teenage boys […]
