When the weather’s particularly yucky, like today, it’s fun to have play dates planned with friends. Derek’s out in Phoenix for work, and this is what I woke up to: And this is what I took 3 hours putting up by myself last night (with lots of phone help from my dad!): And this is what happens when you leave the box of Cheerios out: And this is Tommy at the […]
Nine Adorable Kiddos

This weekend we got together with the Simpsons and Talcotts again–this time, in Grand Rapids. I only got 3-4 hours of sleep each night and was dead last in all 4 (or 5?) of the games we played, so I’m kindof in recovery mode. We got some great pictures touring the fire station and getting […]

This month the Museum of Science and Industry is free on weekdays…so we met Dana and Reagan down there this morning for an educational play date. Much fun was had…we visited the Museum of Science and Industry (more on that tomorrow), watched […]

In what might become an annual tradition, the kids and I headed out to Wheaton this morning to visit Sonny Acres pumpkin patch with the Ritters. Last year it was cold and rainy. This year it was cold and rainy. But we had a lot of fun–the train was a hit for Tommy and Ian […]

While Mariel and her Derek were here, we checked out the Lincoln Square Apple Festival and picked up a half bushel of apples! The Dereks dueled to see who could peel apples the fastest while Mariel and I made up three apple pies and a huge vat of applesauce. We’re thinking of going into pie […]
