I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

If three and a half hours of fresh air and exercise could induce labor, I’d be in the hospital by now. Tommy was up early, so we hit the mean sidewalks of Chicago at 6:45 and visited the grocery store, picked up bagels for breakfast, had a diaper change break back home, then walked over […]

Recently my friend Dana told me that she’s been trying to foster Reagan’s independence by giving her little choices during the day. She’s been reading about how kids between the ages of 2 and 3 are capable of making small decisions and even dressing themselves (not our kiddos yet, though…maybe when they get closer to […]

Last night it was such a beautiful evening that I begged Derek to let us go take Tommy out for his first ice cream cone. He actually had one last summer when a certain family member was babysitting and didn’t understand that “no dairy and no refined sugar” meant no ice cream. So he had […]

Whenever Tommy sees the camera, he wants me to take a picture of him–“Pit-tur Tommy!” He’s gotten to the point of saying “Teese!” when I point the camera at him. Narcissist? Or attention hog? And anyone else think he looks a lot like Derek in this first pic?

Well, we made the big switch this weekend–Tommy is officially in a big boy bed! We kept the crib in his room for a couple nights just in case things didn’t work out again and we had to put him back, but he is loving his new robot sheets. He got out of bed a […]

Yesterday the sun finally made it to Chicago–so Tommy spent several hours outside! We went to the playground in the morning, but while I made dinner, I needed my dude to stay in my sight. No problem when you have a big fenced-in backyard and a red wagon…who could ask for anything more?
