Last night, I whipped up a flourless chocolate cake so that Susie would have something special for dessert. Note how both her siblings are helping her blow out her candle.
Yum, eggplant parmesan and cake! That’s a combo to enjoy!
I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

Susanna is so incredibly squirmy these days that taking a picture is a major undertaking…and she has tooth #7 coming in, so she’s not too keen on showing off #5 (cut through Saturday) and #6 (arrived Monday). She just wants to move, move, move. We have her 1 year check-up on Monday, and I’m eager to see how much she’s grown and what Dr. Antall thinks about feeding her. None of my pictures from this morning came out, but we started the day with a candle in a pancake and presents (mainly books) which her siblings obligingly opened for her and reading as I type. Cake tonight, and a joint birth-tea party with Elizabeth next weekend!
We’re so blessed to have this spunky girl!

Saturday night found us in Dodger Stadium, taking in a game with some of the students and other profs from Derek’s section. Despite staying out way past bedtime, all three kids did great! Tommy’s favorite part was the Dodger Dogs because they were hot dogs but not hot (I’m not going to lie; they were the worst ballpark hot dogs I’ve had). Elizabeth’s favorite was the huge TV screen because she got to go to a baseball game to watch a baseball game on TV. And Susie’s favorite part was playing with Daddy’s and Tommy’s baseball caps.
