Going for a drive
I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

In case you didn’t catch Derek’s facebook post last weekend, the big kids are taking swimming lessons at an outdoor pool through the rest of the winter. Lest you envy us too much, we hasten to add that it has been incredibly windy both weeks. Standing around in a wet suit in 60 degree weather with winds so strong they blow chairs over is not really as glamorous as it sounds. Despite the chill, both kids absolutely love learning how to swim!
Waiting for the lessons to start…
Elizabeth and I have parent/child lessons first. Today she was singing songs throughout the whole class. Her favorite game is “Motorboat,” and she put her face in the water several times today!
After we get out, Tommy has his lessons (without a parent) with the same instructor that we have. He was pretty hesitant last week, but today he was the first kid into the water. He had a huge smile on his face throughout the whole class!

Argh, I accidentally published this in the morning without adding the last picture…so here is the full post, with some bonuses.
Leann and Seth did it again! I’ve been wanting this French bingo set for awhile, and they sent it to the kids for Christmas!
Unsurprisingly, Elizabeth always picks the clothing one and Tommy always picks transportation.
Yay for learning French in a Spanish-speaking culture. =)
And for fun, here are my goofballs:

Heavy rains kept us inside for a couple days in there, and things did not go well. I lost my temper, the kids provoked each other constantly, and Susie resisted her naps. Even though the ground was still wet yesterday, I shooed the kids outside to play with playdough. Can you tell how much Susie is itching to play with the big kids?
And just to be real, the kids came to the door and begged to come inside as soon as I took this picture. They don’t appreciate sunshine and fresh air as much as I do!

I haven’t much to say except that she will not sit still. I have to grasp her ankle firmly to even keep her sitting in her high chair long enough to eat something. She doesn’t have the patience to nurse, take a bottle, get a diaper change, get dressed, or let her picture be taken. It’s a fun but exasperating stage.
