If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, the way to this woman’s heart is through the kitchen sink. Often when I am feeling especially affectionate towards my charming husband, I whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. We go through chocolate chips like nobody’s business around here! He even says that making dinner for him every night and packing his lunch every morning are ways that I make him feel loved. On the other hand, I just feel cherished like nothing else when I come out from putting Tommy down, as I did last night, and find Derek with his sleeved rolled up, washing up the last of the dinner dishes. Yay for a kitchen sink full of clean dishes!
