Well, Tommy’s been taking a few steps several times over the past few days, so he is officially into the walking stage. Today we walked up to Target to buy him his first bought big boy shoes in honor of the occasion. We had some hand-me-down boots from a friend, but they were a size too […]

Here’s the new curtain I made the cover the baptismal font at the front of our church. (Yes, Crossroads is a PCA church. Think about it.) Anyway, since we needed to cover up the evidence of a baptismal font for obvious reasons, I found myself making my first ever set of curtains! It was quite […]

We did it! We made it to Ted Drewes tonight! Now we can say that we’re really St Louisans! It was a little bit of an adventure getting there. Derek had heard of one that was south, so we tried to go there first. We drove through this whole weird area with Persian and Thai […]

Well, Derek is still sick (though no longer delirious), so Tommy and I have been taking lots of adventures out of the house. Today we decided to check out the Cotton Babies store in town! It was AMAZING. I knew I liked them the moment we walked in the door–they were playing Christian music (the […]

Well, after 11 months of use, I’m retiring Tommy’s medium sized Fuzzi Bunz after this load of diapers. He has a lot of grow room width-wise, but his torso is getting long enough that they’re starting to leak out the top. (Note how much of his belly you can see in this picture from yesterday.) […]

Consoling ourselves for a wretched Easter service by singing real hymns around the piano in four part harmony. (John did a great falsetto soprano but sadly avoided being photographed.) Tommy loved helping Uncle Peter play the piano!

Today Tommy and I played outside in our backyard. (I love having a backyard!) As Tommy pushed around his big boy bike (wearing real big boy shoes), I noticed that we have a flower blooming in our flower beds. Spring is coming!
